Back to Basics
If there is any set of colours that effortlessly transitions our accessories from winter to spring, it’s neutrals. These pale, yet warm tones are great complimentary colours for fair skin tones, as they look natural and aren’t overpowering.
Various shades come under the ‘neutral’ branch. We heart nude, cognac, taupe and tan, which all feature in our Autumn/Winter 2014 collection. We think the best colours to wear with your minimalist belt are white, black, and soft pink – and even skin tone itself. Stars like Jessica Alba have been seen rocking neutral shades (top left). Her chunky belt is just the right width to still stand out among the similar tones she has put together in her outfit.
When worn around the waist, a belt is a great way of bringing in your figure. Accessorise your nude belt around a matching coloured jacket (which acts as a great base), or a block colour dress for the perfect pre-spring look.
If you want to accessorise further in neutrals, our sister company Dents have a great selection of bags and tips for you in one of their blog posts. Check it out!
